Personal System Group (PSG) stays in the HP Family
HP and PSG are better together!
On the 27th of October, the new HP CEO Meg Whitman announced PSG will remain within Hewlett-Packard.
The decision has been taken after objectively evaluating the strategic, financial and operational impact of spinning off the PC maker Business Unit. The results of this evaluation have shown the significant contribution that PSG is bringing to HP’s supply chain efficiencies, distribution breadth, solutions portfolio and overall brand value.
The PSG spin-off story can be left behind, Meg said, adding that HP will be going to win in the market place by accelerating our innovation, delivering improved customer experience and by retaining and attracting the best employees in the industry.
“As part of HP, PSG will continue to give customers and partners the advantages of product innovation and global scale across the industry’s broadest portfolio of PCs, workstations and more,” said Todd Bradley, executive vice president, Personal Systems Group, HP. “We intend to make the leading PC business in the world even better.”
